Waiting

"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."  -Psalm 27:14

Lilias Trotter:  "Things still look dark and heavy all round--but 'when the clouds be full of rain they empty themselves upon the earth.'  It is better to wait, as the parched ground waits here, for the torrents that will set life going.  I am beginning to see that it is out of a low place that one can best believe."

....And then the rainbow appears to remind us that God is present, here in the midst of the clouds, and in the rain.

I am grateful for the times a rainbow has appeared in the sky, reminding me that God sees and cares.

  1. I can just picture Lilias writing this in the desert. She could find such beauty coming from parched ground. Beautiful rainbow photo!
