Guarding the Lord's Treasure
"Blessed are you servants who lay up as treasure in heaven (cf. Mt 6:20) what the Lord shows you and do not desire to show it to others, hoping for personal gain from the Lord's treasure. For the same Most High will manifest your works to whomever he pleases. Blessed then are you servants who keep in your heart the secrets of the Lord (cf. Lk 2:19, 51; Lk 8:15)." --St. Francis, Admonition 28
Because the world loves to worship celebrities and those who excel at what they do, we can easily be tempted to seek the glory for ourselves when God uses us in mighty ways. This is why we should do what we do for the Lord's sake and not our own, leaving the outcome to Him.
