"Jesus said, 'Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.'" -Matthew 5:8
"None but the pure are capable of seeing God," I read in one commentary. The key word here is "capable." It's because the "things of the world" blind us from being able to see God. It's only when we desire to have a personal, intentional relationship with our Creator that we are set on the path to being able to see God. To see God is to know God in such a way that we are truly blessed.
I am grateful that Jesus Christ enables me to know God.
