1 Corinthians 12:8-10
The dictionary defines a miracle with these words: wonder, marvel, sensation, mystery, supernatural phenomenon. A miracle, by Bible standards, is all those things, but the emphasis is on the fact that it's a supernatural phenomenon. Ever since we entered the Age of Reason, starting in the 17th century, miracles, by the Bible definition, seem few and far between. Have miracles more or less ceased? Or have we just "reasoned" them away? How can I look at the rising and setting of the sun over our life-sustaining earth and not believe we are living a daily miracle? How can I hold a newly-born granddaughter and not believe in miracles?
