When I think of what it means to put God first I think of the first commandment: Have no other gods before Him. But it is much more than that. In Psalm 23:2 we are told He leads us, and in John 10:27 we are told we are His sheep and we are to follow Him. In Joshua 3:14 the Israelites "set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before them." To put God first is much more than just not having any other gods in our lives. It's the intentional letting Him take the lead in your life and then following.
