Carrying a sign telling people who you want them to vote for has its merits, but until someone takes action and actually votes, the words are wasted. In the same way, to say this or that about what you believe may have merit, until you do what you say you believe, it is just a bunch of words that won't be heard over the plethora of competing beliefs.
