One can't live in this world without faith (definition: complete trust or confidence in someone or something). Whether it's trusting your automobile to get you safely to your destination or that your house and family will be there when you get home, without faith we'd be paralyzed by fear. The question then is what do I put my faith in. The world and its devices? Or the God who created me?
