"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." -Matthew 5:5
This Scherenschnitte art depicts the Beatitude that is translated either "meek," "gentle," or "humble." The Beatitudes (Latin = happy) are nine blessings Jesus expounded upon in his sermon on the mount. This Beatitude is of major importance because it pertains to eternity, but also extends to our time here on earth because God sheds His grace upon the humble. When we are meek and gentle and humble we are in the very place where God can bless us with His wisdom and power and peace.
I am grateful that I do not need to be an "important" person or someone who is able to command the spotlight in order to be used and blessed by God.
I appreciate all the research you have on this. Thank you for all that you do!
