Eternal Glory

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all."
-2 Corinthians 4:17

Lilias Trotter observed the dew drops on a blade of grass and remarked in her journal, "He maketh small the drops of 'water'.......Let a drop fall from your finger and you will see its natural size.  But that would be too heavy for the frail little blades to bear.  It would slip off them from its weight.  So He weighs out to each the tiny measure that it can bear without even being bowed down yet enough to 'drink into' in abundance."  She was referring to the passage in Job 36:26-28:

Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him;
The number of His years is unsearchable.
For He draws up the drops of water,
They distill rain from the mist,
Which the clouds pour down,
They drip upon man abundantly.

When we trust God He can help us bear our trials and tribulations, as well as, grow us closer to Him.     He knows better than we do what we need in order to grow in Christ.

I am grateful to know that nothing in my life is wasted if I trust God to bring good from it.
