Conquerors Through Christ

"...in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."  -Romans 8:37

Oswald Chambers writes:
Paul's joy was to be a captive of the Lord...It is a shameful thing for a Christian to talk about getting the victory.  The Victor ought to have got us so completely that it is His victory all the time, and we are more than conquerors through Him.
Chambers speaks of maintaining the viewpoint that we are "here for one purpose only, viz., to be captives in the train of Christ's triumphs."  And the only way we can maintain that viewpoint is "every day, bit by bit."  There are plenty of scriptures that emphasize our need for a daily walk with the Lord.  It is something we must cultivate.  Thinking on things above is a good way to start.  Standing on a mountaintop, above the fray of the world, is a good image to help us see things from God's point of view.  Being captive to His thoughts will enable us to participate in His Victory.

I am grateful to be a part of Christ's victory in all things.
