Reflecting God's Love

"When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the covenant law in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD." -Exodus 34:29

In today's Our Daily Bread Xochitl Dixon writes about Moses's radiant face after his encounter with God on Mount Sinai.  Mart DeHaan goes on to differentiate this "afterglow" with how Christians now reflect God's glory from within.  When we are filled with the Holy Spirit God's glory will shine through us as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control--all qualities that we will enjoy for ourselves as well.  It is a good checklist to see how well we are letting the Holy Spirit rule in our hearts.

I am grateful for the work that God does in and through me by His Spirit.

  1. Good reminders. Is the above picture in your kitchen? I should copy, paste, cut & frame it. Then put it in a place where I spend a lot of time!
