Going Astray

"For 'you were like sheep going astray,' but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."  -1 Peter 2:25

The Shepherd uses his dog to help round up his sheep when they wander too far from him.  Likewise, God sent His Son, Jesus, to shepherd us back to Him.

I am grateful that God does not let me stray so far that I can't be found again.  He always provides what I need to return to Him.
