Heart Failure

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." - Psalm 73:26

I collect heart-shaped objects in nature--or photographs of the ones I can't pick up and carry away like this tree stump.  It is a lop-sided heart, but still a heart in my eyes.  Like the heart in the scripture, my heart may fail or be imperfect in some way, but I can count on God being my strength and my portion forever.

I am grateful that God loves me even when my heart fails to love perfectly.
