Part of being a good Christian is to be a good citizen of whatever country you happen to live. While I do not agree with many of the policies of my country, I do strive to obey the laws and to be more of an asset than a liability. I believe that God does indeed "establish those in authority" (Romans 13:1). I am privileged to live in a democracy and have a responsibility to use my freedoms for the betterment of all. Yet I must never lose sight of my true citizenship awaiting me in Heaven.
