"What can I do with you, Ephraim? What can I do with you, Judah? Your love is like the morning mist, like the early dew that disappears." -Hosea 6:4
The prophet Hosea speaks God's message to Ephraim and Judah because they had been unfaithful. In today's Our Daily Bread message we are asked: "Do we seek Him mainly in times of trouble, searching for answers in our distress but ignoring Him during our seasons of celebration? Are we like the Israelites, easily swayed by the idols of our age, including such things as busyness, success, and influence?" The message concludes: "Though we may be unfaithful to God, He will never turn from us."
I am grateful that even in my failures to love God totally and unabashedly, He does not give up on me.
