"See that you also excel in this grace of giving."
-2 Corinthians 8:7
Every few years we have a really big snow storm. For more than 30 years we'd have to dig out our driveway by hand like our neighbors are doing here. One year, however, a neighbor further down the street came by in his small tractor with a snow blade, saw us shoveling at the top of our 60-foot-long driveway, and offered to plow it for us. In no time at all a path was cleared for our car. It would have taken us the rest of the day to do it by hand. This grace of giving, as today's scripture admonishes us to do, is only a tiny example of how God showers us with His blessings through other people. Today's Our Daily Bread asks the question, "How might God be leading you to show generosity today?"
I am grateful for God's generosity and for the opportunity to pay it forward.
